Entrepreneurship plays a vital role as a driving force for the socio-economic development of the country. Sharda University established Sharda Launchpad Federation, a company registered under section 8 of the Companies Act 2013, as a centre for business incubation and entrepreneurship development. With a commitment to contribute to the enhancement of the entrepreneurial skills among our students and alumni and to "Help people help themselves and others” through innovation and entrepreneurship, Sharda Launchpad has evolved as an ecosystem with multi-faceted support for aspiring entrepreneurs and startups.
Sharda Launchpad provides a platform for micro, small and medium–scale enterprises through skills acquisition activities necessary for the development and management of the enterprise. To understand the enterprise better Sharda Launchpad emphasizes on efforts that will contribute to entrepreneurial development in India through short-term mentoring programs and long-term incubation programs. We prioritize on making the startups market ready beginning with the lean startup model and facilitate them to reduce their time and cost to market.

Profile
Dr Amit Sehgal is a certified Innovation Ambassador by the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell, Government of India, an entrepreneurship educator and a startup mentor. He has done a Ph. D. in Wireless Networks. He has more than 23 years of experience in industry, academia and research. He is a voluntary startup mentor for Atal Innovation Mission Incubators and Atal Tinkering Labs contributing to the startup ecosystem by mentoring innovators and early-age startups. He has been listed among the top 50 Mentors in ‘Gems of Mentor India 2021 and the top 56 and most popular ATL mentors by Niti Aayog, Government of India. He has contributed to several research and development projects in wireless networks, health informatics, and IoT, including corporate and international academic collaboration.
