About our identity
The name of University, 'Sharda' is synonymous with 'Goddess of knowledge and learning - Saraswati'. She is identified with 'veena' an Indian musical instrument and the 'lotus' where she resides. The lotus in our logo symbolizes the seat of learning that the University is created for. The variety of colours in the logo represents the wide range of disciplines offered at Sharda, while the overlap between petals symbolizes the collaborative spirit within our community. It signifies how students and faculty from diverse programmes, nationalities, and backgrounds come together, merging ideas and perspectives to create new knowledge and drive innovation. This unity and collaboration are at the heart of our educational ethos.
