About the Programme
MD in Pharmacology at Sharda University is a three-year postgraduate degree that helps students gain fundamental knowledge of biological effects along with therapeutic and chemical uses of drugs. The programme aims to train students, enabling them to scrutinise the impact of drugs.   The programme introduces two critical topics such as pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics to the students at an early stage so that they can gain a comprehensive picture of the usage and safety actions required for drugs and medication. It also describes the effects of biologically active chemicals and explores drugs causes and biological effects along with their molecular mechanisms.
During this programme, students learn how chemical agents utilise synthetic and natural biological systems and their effects on systemic, subcellular, behavioural, and physiological processes. The main objective of this programme is to prevent and treat diseases and deal with the hazards of herbicides and pesticides. This programme helps to gain knowledge of pharmacology and helps to acquire scientific information on the pharmacology of drugs. The programme accommodates streams like general pharmacology, experimental pharmacology and systemic pharmacology.
