Event Description
The event started at 11 Am with a welcome speech by Dr. Nirupma Gupta, Dean Student Welfare. Later the event was carried by Ms. Monika where she shared her personal life experiences. Emphasis was given on the modelling of characters. The students were provided with the scripts to read out. 7 students volunteered to read out the script and were feedback was provided how to modulate in voice and expression.
The session was beneficial for the students. As per students they got an opportunity where they interacted directly with a Bollywood actor and got an opportunity to get the instant feedback and guidance.
The closure of the session was done by the thank note given by Dr Gupta.
SPEAKER: – MONIKA MISHRA
ABOUT THE SPEAKER : - Ms. Monika is a professional actor and has done films, tv serials, ad films, and web series. She is a registered member of IMDb. She has been active in theatre and media since 2006. Apart from theatres & plays she has also worked in many TV serials including Balika Vadhu, Savdhan India, Crime Patrol, Kyunki Jeena Issi ka Naam hai, Har Yug Mein Aayega Arjun. Her latest serial is Vijeta for DD National which will be aired very soon. She also did ad films like Muthoot Finance, Mission Indradhanush, Aadhar Card, etc. She was most recently seen as a TV Reporter in Akshay Kumar starrer - Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
Apart from that, she has been associated with different aspects of theatre like costume, set design, sound effects, script writing, direction and of course ACTING. She has done a lot of plays as an actor with different directors. Mentioning here some of them in which she acted: "Krantirathi Vivekanand", "Amar Subhash", "Ujada Hua Mahavidyalay" and "Postmaster" under the direction of National award winner Shri P.G.Bhattacharya. In Delhi, she joined the MASK theatre group and done plays like-"Gadhe ki Barat", "Machine kabaddi ki", "Raja Zinda ho Gaya", "Chal bhag chalein"& "Arafat Mein Jaan" under the direction of Shri Dinesh Ahlawat. "Amar Jyoti" with IP Arts under the direction of Ishwar Pal. An Urdu play "jhootho ki paathshala" with Spark Theatre. "Garam Masala-not again" with Sukriti Arts under the direction of Ms.Nishtha Sharma(TV Actor & contemporary dancer). She has also been a part of Delhi's most famous and hilarious comedy play "Tajmahal ka Tender" under the direction of Shri Anil Sharma (Famous theater director and actor ) with Mitra Cultural Society. Recently she did a play with the group “Bheja Fry”.
