Event Description
Sharda University Music club intends to put people back on track, with their own soulful ways. To restore the excitement and youthfulness in the Students for an upcoming year of hope and opportunities. About the event : The event shall be organized on the state level; where students from different universities and colleges from all over Uttar Pradesh will come together and compete against one another. Sur Tarang will take three days to be conducted, from 7th, 8th April 2021 – 9th April 2021. The event shall consists of Two main rounds ; 1) Prelims, 2) Finals Participants selected in the preliminary round shall be moved ahead in the finals to take on the competition to a higher level. Prelims Details : Date : 7th, 8th April 2021 Timing : 2:00pm - 5:00pm Venue: Chanakya Auditorium ( Room 201, Block-7, Sharda University) Finals Details : Date: 9th April 2021

Sur Tarang Music event state level event Final on 9th April 2021 .
Rules:
1.Participants are free to sing classical ,semiclassical, bollywood songs which does not contain any slangs or abusive words. Inclusion of any form of derogatory terms or language in the song will directly lead to disqualification.
2. Time slot for each Performance is 2-3 minutes for prelims and 3-4 minutes for finals . Exceeding the time limit may lead to deduction in marks.
3. Participants are free carry their own instrument or instrumental music/ karaoke , if required.
4. Only 1 accompanist is allowed in prelims and 2 for finals .
5. Music/ Lyrics for reference on mobile phone will not be accepted.
6. Registration fee is Rs.100 per person.
7. First two Winners will be awarded prizes amount of Rs.5000 and Rs.3000 respectively.
7. If there is a use of background music like karaoke then submit it before hand .
8. Marks will be given on the basis of voice quality ,sur ,taal , lay.
