Technical Workshop on the Concept of Equipment Calibration to Strengthen R&D

Sharda University organized a workshop in collaboration with the M/s Fluke Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai on the Concept of In-house Calibration and Integrated Test Instruments Lab set up in the Field of Electrical, Thermal and Pressure calibration test instruments (September 5th 2024).

The workshop attended by 23 participants of different discipline (Chemistry, Physics, Forensics, Electronic and Instrumentation). The workshop started with a welcome address and importance of calibration by Dean Research Prof. (Dr.) Bhuvnesh Kumar. 

Calibration is an essential practice that ensures the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of measuring instruments. By regularly calibrating these equipment, laboratories and industries can maintain high standards of quality and safety.  As the NEP-2020 emphasizes the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, calibration plays a crucial role in STEM by ensuring that scientific experiments and measurements are accurate and reliable. Integrating calibration training into STEM curricula can help students understand the importance of precision in scientific research and industrial applications. These details were presented by representatives of Fluke Technologies Pvt Ltd. The workshop was organized by Dr Atul Kumar Gupta, Dr Mohit Sahni and Dr Usha Tiwari of Sharda University.
