Sharda University, one of India's premier educational institutions, recently played host to a captivating and vibrant celebration of the northeastern cultural mosaic at the Northeast Cultural Festival. The Northeast Cultural Festival, a vibrant celebration of the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the northeastern region of India. The event, organised by the Northeast Regional Office, brought together students, dignitaries, and regions cultural enthusiasts to celebrate the unique heritage of India's northeastern states.
The festival brought together a blend of art, music, and dance of 7 sisters and a brother states of the Northeast, giving a glimpse into their unique cultures. The event was a testament to the university's commitment to embracing and celebrating the country's diversity.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests and dignitaries, including Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sibaram Khara, Chief Guest Mr. Indrajit Rai (Senior Editor of ABP Network), and Mr. Saad Miya Khan, IPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police of Gautam Budh Nagar, Greater Noida
Distinguished Delegates from various fields added to the grandeur of the occasion. Notable personalities in attendance included Mr. Dibang, an anchor and presenter at ABP News, Mr. Komjun Riba, Additional Private Security to Mr. Kiran Rijiju, Mr. Ashok Kumar, PPS, Additional Commissioner of Police in Gautam Budh Nagar, Mr. Yanger Toshi, Deputy Commandant of ITBP, Mr. Amit Shahai Mathur, Project Officer at the Ministry of External Affairs, and Dr. Nitin Agargal, CEO of Bliss Ayurveda.
Director - Admissions & Marketing Mr. Rajiv Gupta and Director of Public Relation Mr. Ajeet Kumar played vital roles in making the event a success. Mr. Ahtesham Zahan & Mr. Daniel was instrumental in managing the logistics and ensuring that the festival ran smoothly. They worked tirelessly to ensure that the Northeast Cultural Festival provided a platform for the exchange of ideas, cultural expressions, and unity.
Attendees were treated to mesmerising performances and traditional handicrafts from the region. This cultural extravaganza served as a bridge between the northeastern states and the rest of the country, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of this unique part of India.
The presence of Chief Guest Mr. Indrajit Rai and Mr. Saad Miya Khan, along with other distinguished guests, emphasised the importance of such cultural exchanges in our society.
