Sharda University Celebrates NCC @ 75: Mega Cyclothon

Sharda University's NCC cell, under the guidance of the Department of Dean Students Welfare (DSW), successfully organized the ‘NCC @ 75: Mega Cyclothon to celebrate the 75th anniversary of NCC Raising Day. This momentous event was held on Sunday, 21st January 2024, at Anand Swaroop Auditorium, Sharda University campus.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) of India marked its 75th anniversary with this significant event, orchestrated by the Director General of NCC. A grand Cyclothon, symbolizing the NCC's historic journey, commenced from two opposite ends of the nation – Kanyakumari and Guwahati. The cadets navigated through meticulously planned routes of 3232 km and 2107 km, respectively, converging at the capital state. The expedition, led by Brigadier Narendra Chaarag and Col. Anjan Sengupta, saw 28 dedicated cadets demonstrating the spirit and resilience of the NCC. ADC NCC Uttar Pradesh Maj. Gen. Vikram Kumar graced the event to honor the cadets' efforts.
The event was a testament to the enduring legacy and spirit of the NCC, inspiring future generations to uphold the values of discipline, unity, and patriotism.
