Educational Trip to Rishikesh and Dehradun

The Department of Geography, Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SSHSS), organized a three-day educational field trip to Rishikesh and Dehradun from October 9 to 11, 2024. The trip aimed to provide students with practical exposure to geographical fieldwork, ecological assessment, and institutional research. Activities included socio-economic surveys in Rishikesh villages, geomorphological site observations, and visits to premier institutions like the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (ISRO) and Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun. The event fostered experiential learning on topics like biodiversity, tourism impacts, and environmental conservation, aligning academic learning with real-world contexts.
