I joined Sharda University in 2018, immediately after finishing my PhD from Sharda. My graduation is from Barkatullah University and MBA (Finance & IB) from Jaypee University.
Strong quantitative skills, familiarity with computer applications (Excel, Eviews, R and Python) and experience gained while working on various MBA projects helped me to develop sharp analytical abilities and gave me the confidence to tackle advanced problems on a macro level at a very initial stage. Further, my internship with Aditya Birla Group provided me a unique opportunity to work in a large organization. My responsibilities included studying the cash flow of the company and applying capital budgeting techniques to its various projects and, recommend appropriate changes for improving the performance of the company. Through that time, I learned the necessity of understanding the complexity of economic and social issues as a foundation for effective policy.
Additionally, pursuing the doctoral research reinforced my passion for accomplishing long-term research goals and gave me extensive research experience in applied economics. My coursework in quantitative analysis, and forecasting provided me with the practical and analytical tools necessary to inform innovative research and policy and know basic economic models and have strong background both in abstract modeling and data manipulation.
