AIM and SCOPE

AIM

International Journal of Management Issues and Research (IJMIR) is a refereed journal published by the Sharda School of Business Studies(SSBS), Sharda University. It is an academic and a peer reviewed International Journal.

The Journal aims to:

  • Disseminate original, theoretical, or applied research in the field of management and its allied areas.
  • Publish original, industry-relevant research to reduce the academia-industry gap.
  • Seek original, unpublished research based on theory, empirical analysis as well as experimental works for publication.
  • Publish strong research in the field of Commerce & Finance, Sales and Marketing, HR and OB, Business Communication, Operations and SCM , IT & Business Analytics as part of Management as a field of Study and also in Healthcare management, as well as other interdisciplinary fields of management.

SCOPE

The scope of International Journal of Management Issues and Research (IJMIR) includes all domains that are listed above and wishes to include emerging themes and also action oriented research. The journal also welcomes focused discussions, cases, monographs and interview papers, and book reviews.

1. Submission Process: Submission to this journal is to be made through the IJMIR online submission and peer-review system available at https://www.journalpressindia.com/ijmir. The online submission system guides the authors through the process of filling in article details and uploading files in a step-wise manner. As a part of the online system of submission and to enable you to track the status of your manuscript, the reviewer’s comments and decision on your manuscript will be shared with you once you have submitted your paper through the online mode.

2. Paper Length: The recommended length of a paper is around 6,000 words (including all notes, references, tables, and appendices).

3. Pre-Submission Checklist: Before making the online submission of the manuscript, the author/s should ensure the following with respect to the manuscript:

  • Abstract of not more than 150 words.
  • 4-5 keywords.
  • Details of all authors (such as name, affiliation, address, email, and telephone no.).
  • The manuscript has been checked for spelling and grammar.
  • The manuscript file to be uploaded should have no author details or any identifying information related to the author/s.
  • All references that have been cited in the manuscript are mentioned in the ‘Reference list’ of the manuscript.
  • Permission has been obtained for the use of copyrighted material from other sources.
  • APA (American Psychological Association) style of referencing has been followed for references. For example: Makino, S., Lau, C.M., & Yeh, R.S (2002). Asset exploitation versus asset seeking: Implications for location choice of foreign direct investment from newly industrialised economies. Journal of International Business Studies, 33(3), 403-421.

4. Manuscript Template: The author/s can follow the paper template provided on the left-hand panel to understand the structure of a manuscript.

5. Plagiarism Check: The authors are informed that all submitted manuscripts go through a similarity check, and if the similarity score is 15% or more (including authors’ own publications), the manuscript will not be considered for the peer-review process. This check is done as soon as the manuscript is received, and hence, the authors must ensure that the similarity index is less than 15% for their submitted manuscript.

6. Ethics Policy: Contributors to the Journal are advised to be careful not to violate any of the provisions of the Copyright Act and the Rules made thereof as regards the material used in the papers or their sources. School of Business Studies, Sharda University will not be responsible for any violations or lapses on the part of the contributors in this regard. For more information, please refer to our detailed Ethics policy.

7. Copyright and Licensing: On acceptance of a paper, the author will be required to electronically submit a ‘Copyright Form’ (on the IJMIR online submission portal), which is an exclusive license agreement that grants IJMIR the sole and exclusive right and license to publish the article. The ‘Copyright Form’ would also require the author/s to warrant the following:

  • The manuscript is solely submitted to this journal and is not currently under submission to, or consideration by, any other journal or publication.
  • The manuscript has not been published before in its current or substantially similar form.
  • The article is the original work of the author/s and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity and cannot be considered as plagiarising any other published work.
  • The author/s has obtained the necessary written permission from the appropriate copyright owner or authorities for the reproduction of the article and in the journal of any text, illustration or other material.
  • The authors have declared any potential conflict of interest in the research.
  • Any support from a third party has been noted in the Acknowledgements.
  • Sources of funding, if any, have been acknowledged.
  • The author/s have not previously assigned or licensed the article to any third party.
  • The article contains no statement that is abusive, defamatory, fraudulent, or in any other way unlawful or in violation of applicable laws.
  • Anyone who has made a significant contribution to this article has been listed as an author. Minor contributors have been noted in the Acknowledgements section.
  • The authors will not permit others to electronically gather and save their articles to a separate server.
  • The authors acknowledge that the publisher would publish the article in the above-specified journal and that it reserves the right to make such editorial changes as may be required to make the article suitable for publication.

8. Peer-Review Policy: All papers submitted to the journal will be subject to IJMIR's online review system. IJMIR follows a double-blind peer review system for selecting articles to be published. The decision regarding acceptance/rejection/re-submission, etc., would be communicated only after the completion of the peer-review process. 9. Editorial Rights: The Editorial Team reserves the right to make suitable editorial changes in the papers submitted and accepted for publication.

10. Manuscript Status: The author/s can check the status of their submitted manuscript at any time by logging in to their Dashboard (on the IJMIR online submission system).

Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation for IJMIR

The authors are required to submit their manuscript in APA format. For details, please visit www.apastyle.org.

Kindly ensure four key segments of your research manuscript: Title page, Abstract, main body of manuscript and a list of references according to APA style.

The Title Page:The title page should have a running head, title of the paper, Author’s name, affiliation and contact details.

The Abstract: A short summary of the work for providing a snapshot of the work done. The acceptable word range is 100-150 words. APA format to be followed while writing the abstract. Kindly mention 3-5 key words below the abstract.

The Main Body of Paper: The precise format of this section can differ subject to the kind of paper one is writing. For example, if one is writing a research paper, the main body will comprise an introduction, review of literature, research design, research results and a discussion on the same. APA style based on the type of work (Research article, case study, book review etc.) done to be followed. All text in manuscripts should be in 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, justified-alignment only. Maximum word limit is 4000 including the references, tables, appendices.

Text, Illustrations and Figures should have source compulsorily.

The Reference Section: The reference section must consist of all references used to write research paper. Kindly ensure that APA format is strictly followed. *Please note that all correspondence and proofs for correction will be addressed to the first author.
