About the Programme
MD in General Medicine at Sharda University is a three-year postgraduate programme that focuses on the study of diagnosing as well as treating common health problems or disorders such as nausea, cold and cough etc. The specialisation in General Medicine can be related to the Field of Public Health, Maternal and Child Health Rehabilitation, Public Health Administration etc. The programme also focuses on imparting knowledge to the students about the advances in the technology of diagnosing and treating diseases through experimentation, observation, theoretical knowledge, and practical exposure.
The objective of this programme is to prepare candidates to efficiently diagnose and treat medical illnesses, manage medical emergencies, carry out research and provide prompt diagnosis and management of emergencies. The topics included in the curriculum are Applied basic science knowledge, Biostatistics and clinical epidemiology, Research review, Diagnostic investigation and procedures and Diseases concerning General Medicine.
