About the Programme

The Department of Emergency Medicine, SMS& R is a 30 bedded new department staffed by  2 Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, Senior Residents , Junior Residents and dedicated nurses. We attend to everything from life-threatening emergencies   like heart attacks and strokes to  cuts and fractures with the same care, providing 24x7 care by qualified emergency physicians. ED treats infants, children, adolescents and adults in the need for all kinds of   medical and surgical emergencies. Department consists   of Triage zone with 3 beds, Red zone with 5 beds, Yellow zone with 10 beds, Green zone with 9 beds and Emergency-ICU with 6 beds.  Also ED is equipped with 2 bedded Minor OT for minor surgical procedures and one Emergency OT.

Emergency Department also provide 24x7 emergency medical services .

ACADEMICS:
The department provides daily training on BLS, ACLS to undergraduates, residents and nursing staff . We also have a seminar room for academics and teaching of undergraduate students, demo room with high fidelity mannequins for training, library with extensive collection of books and journals. Department also conducts workshop on BLS,ACLS ,Trauma management on regular basis.

EQUIPMENTS AVAILABLE:

ED   has high-end facilities to manage and monitor critically ill patients. It has all types of equipments required for emergency care. These include defibrillators, ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, nebulizers , portable ultrasound machine, .Department also have point of care laboratory with advanced ABG analysis with co-oximetry, portable ultrasound machine

For National Students
  • As per NMC  Guidelines Must be NEET Qualified and allotted through UPDGME Uttar Pradesh Lucknow.
For International Students The eligibility criterion for all programs for international applicants is minimum 50% in the qualifying examination and having studied the pre-requisite subjects for admission in to the desired program.
