About the Programme

The programme provides with a holistic understanding of our planet and its human and natural spatial systems. The programme thus initiates a student to the core geography courses combining skill based and knowledge base of the modules. It better prepares students to understand practical and specialized topics in second year onwards. The discipline further encourages students to develop their own subject specific for higher level of studies in coming years. Students alongside main subject modules are also taught research methods to explore and understand basic approach to research work in geography. The course also exposes students for intensive field-based exposure focusing on geography and also interdisciplinary understanding.

It raises an inquisitive mind to explore what are the things, why things are there, how they change over time and develop. Geography connects places, people and their environments. Geographers explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it. They also examine how human culture interacts with the natural environment and the way that locations and places can have an impact on people.

For National Students
  • Sr. Secondary (10+2) with minimum 50% marks.
  • Proficiency in English Communication.
For International Students The eligibility criterion for all programs for international applicants is minimum 50% in the qualifying examination and having studied the pre-requisite subjects for admission in to the desired program.
