About
I have been in close association with the field of Psychology for the last 10 years and my inclination is towards Clinical Psychology. I am an RCI licensed Psychologist with the training and experience of 4 years in the treatment of a diverse range of clinical population (children and adolescents, geriatrics, addiction, organic cases to name a few).
I have a keen interest in teaching and believe in the sharing and receiving of knowledge, being a learner myself. I have an experience of teaching students preparing for competitive examinations in the field of Psychology like UGC NET, M.Phil & Ph.D. entrances and of being a guest lecturer at various institutes for teaching Abnormal Psychology and Basic Psychology. I have had a chance to work with UNICEF and have been a district co-ordinator for training councellors in psychological first aid. I have also been a consultant psychologist to military professionals and school-going children.
I am passionate about my work and like to give my best into the work I am bestowed with. Being helpful and supportive are my character strengths and being a perfectionist at times is what I label as my weakness.
I am currently pusuing Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi. My thesis topic is on the Indian adaptation of a psychological rating scale for children and adolescents.
