Dr. Pragya Tiwari Gupta has accumulated experience in teaching and research spanning more than 24 years. Before joining the university, she was in Ethiopia and taught in Ethiopian Civil Services University, Addis Ababa. She also taught in the International Institute of Health Management Research, (IIHMR) Delhi, L.R. Institute, Solan and Lovely Professional University, Jullandhar. Besides teaching she also has rich research experience on development issues. To briefly specify, she worked at different capacities in the National University of Education Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi, National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), New Delhi and several international organisations (UNDP, Micro Nutrients, World bank) etc.
She was the principle investigator of the ICSSR sponsored project on population, migration and health and co-investigator in Department of Science sponsored project on Malaria in High Lands and Climate change.
She was also engaged in consultancy on women and child safety; Vision document of Police, Arunachal Pradesh.
She has been an invited speaker on many occasions in Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar, National Institute of Research in Technology (NERIST), Itanagar, Central Detective Training Institute, Chandigarh.
She is a guest faculty at the Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar.
