Mr. Vaibhav Jaiswal is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering and Technology, Sharda University, India.  Mr. Vaibhav Jaiswal is pursuing (Degree Awaited) his doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), Assam, in the area of Rehabilitation Healthcare Assistive Devices. He obtained his Master's Degree in Machine Design from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam. His journey in the field began with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Shri Shankaracharya Engineering College, Bhilai, under the technical university of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai. Mr. Vaibhav Jaiswal has worked as an Assistant professor for a brief period of time with Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur. He has research experience in the field of biomedical devices, rehabilitation devices, GAIT characterization of human locomotion, composite fabrication, structural modeling and simulation, and human trials with class I devices. His area of research interest includes the broader field of healthcare medical devices. During his research, he has worked in the DBT funded project as a research scholar. Mr. Vaibhav Jaiswal has also completed a NEWGEN-IEDC-funded project from IITG worth INR 2.5 Lakh during the year 2019-20. His works include peer-reviewed journal articles, patent, transfer of technology, conference presentations, and contributions to esteemed books.

Thesis title: Design and development of a user-configurable passive polycentric knee joint to nearly mimic the anatomical movement of transfemoral amputees during their activities of daily living.
