Dr. Jitin Rahul is currently working as Assistant Professor at Sharda University, Greater Noida. He completed his graduation (B.Sc.) in Biological Science, masters (M.Sc.) in Botany (Specialization in Environmental Science) from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur and M.Phil in Botany with specialization on Advanced Ecology, Conservation & Environmental Biology from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. He had qualified national level fellowship for the research UGC-RGNF and ISM-JRF in two different subjects Botany and Environmental Science.
Dr. Jitin Rahul earned his, PhD degree from IIT Dhanbad, with MHRD fellowship (ISM-JRF), on the research title ‘Biodiversity of Vascular Plants and Atmospheric Heavy Metal Deposition along the National Highway-2, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India.
He has published around 20 SCI/Scopus/Web of Science indexed journal/UGC Care articles and 12 research articles published in International/National conferences or seminars between, 2016-2022 with over 371 citations, h-index 7. He received Best oral presentation award, from International Conference, India. Recently, He received National Educationist Award from Avishkar Foundation, Solapur in the month of March, 2023. He have 6 years experience in the research field (under Research Associate, Project Associate, Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow positions) and 5 years experience in teaching (UG and PG level).
His research area of interest: Atmospheric Pollution, Climate Change-Ecology, Biodiversity, Phytoremediation, Eco-restoration, Heavy Metal Pollution (Dust & Soil) and Plant Taxonomy.
He was involved in National Medicinal Plant Board (NMPB), Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India funded project Monitoring Team member (Project Associate) with National Productivity Council, New Delhi. He was monitored 9 Government project. He was involved in NATCOM-3 project as position of Research Associate (RA) at G.B. Pant Himalayan Research Institute, Almora. Uttarakhand, India. As an environmentalist and botanist Dr. Jitin Rahul had explored various biodiversity conservation sites (Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand).Kindly provide in the brief introduction in about 500 words.
