About

Dr. Rashi Tyagi is a Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering and Technology, Sharda University, India.  Dr. Rashi Tyagi obtained his doctorate from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, India in the area of surface modification/coating. She has done her M.tech-Manufacturing Engineering in IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, and her B.tech- Mechanical Engg in Bharat Institute of Technology, Meerut. Dr. Rashi Tyagi worked in Chandigarh University, Mohali about three years in R&D Department. She has experience of about three years in project writing, research paper writing, and patent publication. Her area of research interest includes Additive manufacturing/3D Printing, scaffold preparation, surface modification, material characterization, wear and corrosion analysis, wettability analysis, and surface coating. She has published more than 24 research papers in peer-reviewed journals with high impact factors. She is the editor of CRC Press book on additive manufacturing and published 6 book chapters. She has also published patent on High entropy alloy coating. She got 31lakh SERB-SRG gov funded project on micro coating preparation on Mg implants which was sanctioned on 4th Oct 2022. She has also won CII MILCA AWARD 2022 for innovation in Electrical discharge coating. Dr. Rashi Tyagi recently got the Industrial project (by NBL-Bioprinting) in the area of 3D Bio printed metal reinforced hydrogel scaffold for wound healing applications.

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad (2016-2021). Thesis title: Dynamic characterization and instability analysis of rotating intact and delaminated tapered composite plates.
  • M.tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad (2014-2016 CGPA 9.2/10, First Class with Distinction).
  • B.tech in Mechanical Engineering from BIT, Meerut, (2009 – 2013- CGPA 7.2/10 First Class). 
  • XII from R.G Inter college, Meerut  (2009, Percentage: 64.8 %). 
  •  X from R.G Inter college, Meerut. (2007, Percentage: 72.9%).
