The Sharda School of Nursing Science & Research, Sharda University successfully hosted 3rd International conference on the theme “ Current Trends in Nursing Perspectives: A Leading Pathway  to Quality Care” at Anand  Swaroop auditorium on 17th & 18th March, 2023. The presence of dignitaries, an impressive lineup of scholars across the globe, the support of sponsors, an array of carefully selected, well researched and well presented papers on the subject, all came together to admirably conclude this huge endeavor. The conference was  appreciated for  inaugural , valedictory sessions and 10 concurrent relevant  tracks.  The  Chief guest Dr. T. Dileep Kumar, Honble National President, Indian Nursing Council Former Nursing Advisor, Government of India inaugurated the conference with Honble Chancellor sir Shri. Y.K Gupta, Medical superintendent, Sharda Hospital Dr. _______Gadpayle sir and Dean SSNS & R Prof. R. SreeRaja Kumar lighted the lamp of knowledge with saraswati vandana.

More than 500 delegates registered and actively participated to make this mega event a grand success. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Deepak Sethi focusing the need to discuss current trends in nursing for better quality care. Luminaries from the world of academics and critical care graced the event with very engaging and fruitful sessions included Prof. (Dr.) Bindu Mathews, (Dean, RGUHS), Dr. Raminder Kalra, (Principal, Holy Family College of Nursing, New Delhi), Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Konnur, (Holy Family Hospital, Patna), Prof. (Dr.) Prabha .K. Dasila, (Director Dean, MGMIHS, Mumbai), Mr. Linto Andrews, (Advisor- Nursing, Jhpiego), Ms. K.S Bharti, (Joint Secretary, INC), Dr. Abra Pearl (Coordinator Nursing and midwifery education, Maternity foundation-Global team), Dr. Manju Vatsa(Former Principal, College of Nursing, AIIMS, New Delhi), Dr. Jose Arnold, (Director of Clinical Education in Develop, Insight Global Health in Atlanta), Dr. Nageshwar Venkatesh Reddy (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, Ministry of higher education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). The views expressed and explored on this platform by the resource persons and paper presenters made the audience rethink ideas which we cling to in nursing like dual role, evidence based practice, Nurse registration and tracking system, respectful maternity care, nurse practioners in critical care, nurse preceptor model, simulation in nursing,  Charting new paths for nurses through professional development in these challenging times and overview of systematic review and meta analysis.

The conference owns it success to the able guidance of Dean Prof. R. SreeRaja Kumar and the hard efforts put in by the entire team and student volunteers. The conference without doubt made the entire nursing fraternity richer with additional literature in form of scholarly paper presentations on the subject. This two day event offered opportunities to the participating audiences to interact with academicians, scholars and experts from all over the world who deliberated upon and covered topics around the issues in nursing. These two days comprised of incisive and insightful discussions on various facets of the nursing profession as reflected and refracted through the prism of health care delivery system
