Life changes when you join college, this period nurtures your academic and personal growth, which is full of fun and festivities. We experience many things, which we never thought of it, thus it is all new practices. I felt like Julius Caesar, as I came, I saw and I achieved. I swear I had a gala time in the campus and learned to grab the opportunities as soon as I entered the college life. There were many activities, contests and jobs which one needed to explore. It was indeed an overwhelming exposure at Sharda University and the overall experience was awesome. Few amazing things I have learned in the marvelous journey at Sharda University that I would have not done otherwise.
Nukkad Natak a way to perform
It was the time when everyone was talking about the fresher’s day eve at Sharda University. The entire energy of the university crowd was excited to give their best shots. Though, I was never an active stage performer, but one friend of mine asked me to participate in Talent hunt, so I decided to jump into the rehearsals of Street play for the Fresher’s day eve. It was a social satire on dowry, cast based society, unemployment in which I played the challenging and responsible role of a narrator. It was my first experience and I enjoyed each and every moment of it.
Dance as nobody is seeing you
The whole university was thumping on the beats of latest Bollywood numbers. The national level festival of Sharda University, Chorus is an enthusiastic effort of students. Chorus with gala celebrations were at their peak. It was a performance of singing sensation Neha Kakkar, one of the famous Bollywood singers, I went to attend the show with my groupies at Sharda’s lush green lawns which was indeed a state of Euphoria for me and It was first the first time of my life that I tapped my feet the whole night.
Summers are not only for fun
I was not the person who would go out for summer jobs but at Sharda the culture is such that one evolves in the group activities and one of them was the Internship program. It was well paid off time for me, knowing the summer internship program at Sharda University. Internship was mandatory to join the off campus job, where I worked to assist the managers of topknots MNCs. It was learning experience which matured me with given responsibilities. Time management, attention to details, interpersonal skills are all got polished while doing the internship. Of course, It paid me well and I spent quality time which is also a good addition to my resume.
Never so studious
Sharda is place where quizzes, assignments, submissions become your life style. During exams we studied in groups from morning 6 AM till 6 in the evening. We worked hard to score maximum in the exams. In my memory I didn’t study so much even for my boards and the result was astonishing that I was amongst the top scorers.
Developed good rapport
The day you reach the college you meet your professors in orientation. The thing I didn’t know was that they need assistance in their research work and there I decided to be a part of such work for which I shared my skills and interest area with my professors and informed that I would be expecting their support in the due course. They agreed to take me as an assistant which made me in developing a good rapport with my teachers.
Fashion is one thing one should not ignore
Whether, its tote, watches or dresses everything speaks about you. Sharda is a global university where we have 27% students who have come for their studies from the neighbor countries due to which the campus environment becomes such a trendy place to live at. Also, being in the suburbs of New Delhi, students are very trendy and smart in their dressing styles.
Lived the youngster’s lifestyle:
Sometimes chatting with friends, studying late nights and watching movies made us stay awake at nights occasionally. I became nocturnal at times, not to waste time but to optimize it in the best possible manner. We prepared notes, solved the exercises, crammed the subject matters, and used the markers in best possible manners to excel in the class quizzes, tests and exams.
From studies to fun, we did enjoy every bit of life in Sharda’s boundaries. It’s a true learning place, you grow with discipline, education and life style. I have never lived so much as I experienced life in Sharda University, not only I enjoyed the stint, I developed many life lasting relations with friends, mentors, peers. My overall persona and my aura got enlightened which had given me an edge to face the new challenges of life.
