“A Design can make a lot of difference and change your world completely.” Well, this is not just any other fleeting statement by any celeb but a view of a 19 year old who strongly believes in transforming his ideas and thoughts into reality. A 3rd year Automobile Engineering student, Sankalp Sinha, hails from Patna, Bihar and dreams of making big in the industry.

A lean but determined looking boy, Sankalp believes that people should be able to do more with their products. “Very often I see a product that is great at functional level and looks great too, products should offer a variety of functions (if they can). These days people are choosing mobile phones more, over music players because a handset can do the work of a music player while performing variety of functions. This needs to be applied to other products as well, like furniture for example….”, mentioned a passionate Sankalp.
His views according to some might be overstated, but you need to meet him in person to see the passionate look in his eyes. The passion, that started nurturing him from Class 8th, a time when other children usually think of food, fun and outings, but Sankalp had different plans. His interest to learn all about Automobile Engineering course him to Sharda University. However, he now plans to gain masters in product designing from eminent foreign Universities. His new targets include fetching an Admission in top Mba colleges like Istituto Europeo di Design, Milan, Italy or Arts Center USA and Rhodes Island School of Design.
When asked about a reason for this sudden drift, he replied that he do not want to limit his designs to automobiles but would want to explore a whole new world and give new dimension to several products. Hopping on a ‘do more’ motive boat, Sankalp aims to stand out from the crowd. A great sketcher, he wants to change the perspective to see the world. With his unique ability to create stupendous designs, one would wonder how he applies all his creativity in designing something new. Be it his product models like 270 degree, Zigzag, Invisible Stand or The Portable, they all leave you mesmerized that how effectively things can be utilized with minimum space and feasibility. Even his conceptual designs like portable speaker and alarm clock holds promising aspects in future.
On questions about his experience at Sharda, a candid Sankalp responded, “Competition is tough and he does not want to get lost in the crowd, but create a niche for himself and make his parents proud”.
