The Greater Noida campus of Sharda University was in complete festive mood today (Friday, 11 March 2016) with hosts of entertaining events and competitions that Chorus 2016 is offering. The day began with preliminary rounds of competitions like Rowdies, where participants are given challenges, to Gully Cricket. The seventh edition of the annual cultural festival lived up to all the hype that was promised. There was the happy aura followed by a high amount of rejoice and fervor amongst the students of Sharda as well as participating colleges and universities.
Among the highlights of the day was painting competition, which added a splash of creativity to the Chorus. This event aimed to give an independent platform to the creative sense of students who put down their creativity on the canvas to unravel the little world inside them. What followed on next was the exciting small sided football game Futsal which indeed filled the whole setting of the four-day extravaganza with “feel good and energetic” vibes. The next came some of the exciting events like Ozone Rowdies, Battle of Bands, Style Fiesta, Korean Performance, Sound Check, Painting, Quiz, Informal Events, Gully Cricket, Gonfle Gaming, Mehandi competition, Brand Hunt and more events.
The excitement level was running so high at Chorus that turned the whole environment into a splendid celebration ended in high spirits. From the exquisite dance to breath-taking singing performances, from Style Fiesta to Rowdies, from competitive events to informal gatherings, this gala event has everything. Students cheer the function with an extraordinary zeal and enthusiasm, which was quite commendable for Chorus team.
The Day 1 of this stunning cultural fest ended with the entertaining Celebrity Night by Vh1 Supersonic for incredible whirlwind of great music and greater vibes. DJ Ray and Lost Stories commemorated the atmosphere of Chorus with their vibrant live musical acts. The whole ambiance of the campus of Sharda University which is hosting the 7th edition of its annual techno-cultural fest concluded in a musical extravaganza and left the audience mesmerized with awe-inspiring performances.
Chorus is one of the biggest annual cultural festivals of the region.Up to 1,000 participants from more than 80 colleges and universities have registered for 27 events and competitions that will see prizes worth Rs 10 lakh to be won with bated breath. Some of the notable institutions from where registrations have been made are: AMU, Jammu University, Amity, Galgotia, LPU, G.L. Bajaj, SRM (Haryana), Islamic Universities (Kashmir), etc.
For the next two days, 12th March to 13th March, celebrities like Kanika Kapoor, Jassi Gill, Babbal Rai, Poonam Mathur, model Harshita Kashyap, Sahil Kapoor (Colour TV), Sahil Aneja (Dance India Dance) and many more will grace this superb extravaganza with their presence.
