A long journey of hard work, patience and commitment began for the fresh batch of students who secured admission in Sharda University, an abode of education that focuses on holistic learning and imbibing competitive abilities in the students. The global University conducted a well-executed orientation program for the new students in medical, dental and allied health science courses, providing them with a glimpse of the exciting and inspiring academic journey that awaited them.
This year, the orientation ceremony was conducted under the revered presence of hon’ble Shri PK Gupta (Chairman, Sharda University). After the lighting of the lamp and kulgeet ceremony, Registrar Shri Amal Kumar gave a warm welcome speech and a detailed overview of the University. Post the welcome address, Neelam G Malhotra, Director HR, introduced the deans of the various departments to the students. A clear brief on the examination pattern at the University was given by Professor RC Singh. Rest of the event was followed by insights into the academic life delivered by Dean Academics, Prof. Bhaskar Bhattacharya and Dean Students Welfare, DR. Nirupama Gupta, respectively. Principal Advisor RP Agarwal, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Vijay Gupta and Pro Chancellor YK Gupta took turns to share expert advice and elucidated the core values and benefits of being a Shardan. The programme concluded with Chancellor Shri PK Gupta’s blessings to all the students and wishing them luck on their new academic journey.
After the orientation programme concluded, the students and their guardians enjoyed the scrumptious lunch arranged within the campus. Afterward, they took a tour of the campus, with teachers and other senior students providing constant guidance. They were also encouraged to interact with their teachers and fellow students in an informal and interactive environment, which further strengthened the institutional bond from the very first day.
Over the years, Sharda University has achieved a distinctive reputation as an academic institutional icon that offers students an environment to excel in a holistic and three-dimensional curriculum of fun and learning. Here, the prime focus is on the comprehensive intellectual development and an expansion of the horizons of their thought and expressive process.
