Message from the Director – Teaching Learning Centre
Teaching is a continuous learning and dynamic profession. It requires highly specialized skills and knowledge to impact significantly on student learning.
New types of expertise are required by educators. Teachers must refine their conceptual and pedagogical skills. Teaching Learning Centre is to equip them with the expertise, skills and knowledge they need for capacity building of students. Teaching Learning Centre would engage teachers towards the students concern, attention and interest. The intent is to make the educational programme more meaningful and socially relevant. Teaching Learning Centre would provide opportunities for professional and capacity building of teachers, necessary for quality education and research. Teachers are well equipped and motivated to accept new challenges emerging from the growth of new knowledge, industry requirement, international competitiveness and changing requirements of learners.
Profile
She is an experienced professional with over 27 years of experience in academics, software development, project management, research, training, technical evangelizing, consultation and administration. Have a reputation as an innovative, dedicated and result-driven professional.
She is B.Tech in Computer Technology, M.E in Information Technology and done her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala. She has taught various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level to engineering students. Have been supervisor for various projects on different domains and technologies. Her research interests include but not limited to both Data mining and Fuzzy logics where new algorithms generate useful patterns that are of interest for practical applications. Research interests span most aspects of data mining, software engineering, networking with emphasis on sequential pattern mining, incremental mining and distributed data mining.
She has good understanding of emerging technologies, experience in designing multitier enterprise solutions using J2EE technologies and standards, developing business solutions using Oracle/Developer 2000. Worked with clients on projects based on Business Intelligence, Design Thinking, Cyber Security, Cloud Services, and Data Analytics.
